An Easter RAK

Posted on: April 11, 2009

I had just bought a wedding card at a local Walgreen’s. I received my change and walked out of the store. As I was walking to my car, I realized the cashier gave me back an extra $1.00 bill. I went back into the store and handed the cashier back the $1.oo bill. I told her I didn’t want her drawer to be off. I told her that God would bless me. Just as I said that a little old lady said ……God blessed me I can’t drive anymore. I had to walk here. I asked her how old she was. She told me that she was ninety years old. We walked out of the store together. Something came over me and I asked her if she would like a ride home. She said yes. She got in my car and I drove her home just a half block away. During the short drive I found out a few things about her. She told me what she did in her spare time and where she went to church. I asked her if she knew how to crochet. She said that she did years ago until arthritis prevented her from doing it any longer. I told her that I liked to crochet baby hats and blankets. She said her church could always use baby hats because there is only one lady who makes them now. I told her that I could make some for her. She said that she would wash them for me. As I dropped her off at her house, she told me now you know where I live please come by and say hi sometime. She said that she was always outside gardening. Within the next few weeks I plan on stopping by and saying hi to the ninety year old woman. I will bring her many baby hats to wash and donate to the church. It is in giving that we receive. Today I received so much just by saying……Can I give you a ride home? I am blessed.
