When you were not looking, I saw you standing there. I wanted to go up to to you. I wanted to say hello. I saw you staring off into space. I wondered what were you thinking about. Before you left me, you hugged me. I keep it close to my heart…..Until we meet again. I want to write you a love letter every day on your birthday. I want you to know how much I love you and miss you when you are not with me. I miss feeling you wrap your arms around my neck. I miss you my precious little one. I love you forever my youngest son.

In the five hours since I picked up my five year old, he said I miss you six times. He didn’t say I love you yet….Just I miss you. He last saw me on Sunday night. My last words to him that day was I love you. I guess my son misses me more than he loves me today. But that’s fine with me. I won’t crumble into an emotional mess if I don’t hear the L word from him. It’s all about being a family for the next 2 1/2 days. Precious moments to live. Precious moments to share. The every day moments are what I miss when my son is not there. For for today….I’ll hug him a little tighter….I’ll hold him a little longer until I can tell him……..I miss you too my son.

  • I am not worthy of your love…..You are my child and I love you so

  • I have sinned against you countless times…..I died on the cross for your sins. You are forgiven.

  • I feel so lost and alone…..I am always here to guide your way.

  • I cannot hear your voice…..I am the soft whisper in your ear.

  • I cannot feel you…..I am in the gentle touch and kiss from your child. I surround you with my love from the sun’s warm sunshine. I am in the gentle breeze that caresses your face

  • I am afraid…..Cast your cares onto me and I will be there for you.

  • I don’t know how to pray…..Just say Jesus thank you for loving me each and every day.

Thank you for loving me Jesus when I was down and out and on my knees

Thank you for loving me Jesus when I couldn’t even love myself

Thank you for loving me Jesus and showing me that today is going to be a better day

I decided to count how many times my son said I love you today. Obviously I can’t finish counting because he left so early. He started the morning before getting out of bed by saying I love you to me. Usually he tells me to wake up it’s a beautiful day. But today was different. I guess he felt I needed to hear it. Before  he had left a little bit before 10am he told me the words I love you a total of 5 times. I never get tired of his I love you’s. I love you is one of the most important three words in the english language. Last night I had ask my 5 year old what I love you meant and he said “me and you”. Yes that is what love means to a 5 year old boy.
