All week I have been trying to get a whole chicken on sale for 99 cents a pound. Finally yesterday I spotted the three whole chicken that were left in the meat section. It was the Purdue Oven Stuffer Roaster chicken that was on sale. No wonder I couldn’t find any the other days that I was at the store. I picked a nice big roaster that was over 7lbs. I have never made a Perdue Oven Stuffer Roaster before. Thank God it has a pop up timer on it. I followed most of the directions with the exceptions of putting salt and pepper on the chicken and in the cavity of it. I used Lawry’s seasoning salt on it. It should be done in a few short hours. I can’t wait to taste it. If I cooked it right, I will go back to the storeĀ and get another one for another day. I am a bargain hunter after all.
