I received a phone call today about the parent, teacher, principal conference. It will be tomorrow at 3pm. I was informed that my son’s stepmother would be there but my ex would be there via telephone conference. I guess he has a problem being in the same room with me. I don’t feel that my son’s stepmother should be there without my ex. This is a family matter. I don’t consider my ex’s wife to be part of the family. She is just a bystander. After all, she wasn’t there when my son was conceived. Yes at one point my ex loved me enough to inseminate me with a baby. We will have to be a part of our son’s life for a very long time. Divorce will not change that. It just means that we have to learn how to co parent our child in a meaningful manner. Is that even possible in my situation? I wonder how other divorced couples deal with real life issues.
